1. Who we are

RBM-Trading, based in Almelo, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce KvK 85930822, VAT NL004168068B77), is active in the purchase and sale of industrial components such as electric motors, pumps, frequency drives, bearings, hydraulics and lifting equipment. This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit our website or offer us a batch, and how we handle it.

2. What data we collect

We only collect data that you provide to us yourself via the offer form on our website, via WhatsApp, by telephone or by e-mail. This includes:

  • Name and (where applicable) company name
  • Contact details: telephone number and/or e-mail address
  • Information about the offered batch: photos, packing lists, specifications and the location of the batch
  • In the event of a transaction: data required for the administrative and financial settlement, such as invoicing and payment details

3. What we use your data for

We use your data exclusively for:

  • Assessing your offer and issuing a bid (performance of a contract or pre-contractual phase)
  • Settling the purchase: transport, payment and administration (performance of a contract)
  • Complying with legal obligations, such as the fiscal retention obligation (legal obligation)
  • Contact regarding your offer or transaction

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing and never sell your data to third parties.

4. Sharing with third parties

We only share data when necessary:

  • Potential buyers: in order to place an offered batch, we may share photos and specifications of the batch with potential buyers. We do not share your name or contact details in doing so.
  • Transport partners: for the collection of a purchased batch, they receive the collection location and a contact person.
  • Administration and accounting: for the financial settlement and compliance with our statutory record-keeping obligations.
  • Our website provider: the technical party hosting our website processes, as a processor, the data you submit via the website.

5. Retention periods

Data that forms part of our administration (quotations, invoices, transaction data) is retained in accordance with the statutory fiscal retention period of seven years. Data relating to offers that do not lead to a transaction is not kept longer than necessary to handle your enquiry.
